Client Registry: Services Provided Updates

As a part of a small package of maintenance updates, the Services Provided function was recently improved to allow users to:

  • More clearly view selected services
  • Add an unlimited number of Services Provided (previous limit of 5)
  • Add an unlimited number of FastTrack Services Provided
  • Access the Services Provided History quickly

Deactivation of Associated Disasters (March 2012)

 For an Associated Disaster where client activity never materialized and there has been no known community need, those events are removed if:

  • Zero Total Clients
  • More than 90 days after event

As of March 2012, the following Associated Disasters have shown no activity for 90 days and will be deactivated.

CAN User Registration

Once an agency has successfully completed the participation process, individual users are then eligible to register for user accounts. The agency Point of Contact (POC) should work with its staff to inform them on how to register for user accounts. Here are the basic steps for Client Access:

  • More than 60 days after event

As of September the following Associated Disasters have shown no activity and will be deactivated.

Importing Client Data with the Disaster Needs Database

Importing client data collected in the field by community-based agencies helps to better transition a community's recovery effort by rapidly importing any client data via a spreadsheet template or XML file. Leveraging this capacity, and CAN's ongoing partnership with Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) and its Disaster Needs Database (DND), several of CAN's Participating Agencies are coordinating client data imports.
